As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching individuals of all ages the fundamentals of swimming, ensuring safety and promoting water confidence. Your core skills in swimming teaching will be essential in developing personalised lesson plans and fostering a positive learning environment. Your role will also involve assessing students' progress and adapting techniques to meet their needs. We are looking for reliable instructors for the swimming lessons at the venues below.​

Queensferry High School, Queensferry - Tuesdays 4:45pm-7:15pm, term time

​​

Queensferry High School, Queensferry - Sundays 9:45am-12:45pm, term time

​

St Leonards School, St Andrews - Saturdays 8:45am-12:15pm, term time

​

All venues - Cover instructors

Responsibilities:

​

  • Develop and implement effective swimming lesson plans tailored to various skill levels.

  • Teach swimming techniques and safety practices to students of all ages.

  • Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by enforcing pool rules and safety protocols.

  • Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to share best practices and improve teaching methods.

What we are looking for:

 

  • UKCC/ASA Level 2 / STA Award/Certificate / SSTQ or equivalent (essential)

  • Previous experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Lifesaving qualification (preferred but not essential)
