Swimmers must be able to confidently swim unaided for at least 25 metres for three out of four strokes to join a Rookie Lifeguard class. During lessons swimmers will develop lifesaving strokes and rescues and have the opportunity to practicing implementing these skills in different scenarios. The maximum number of swimmers per Rookie Lifeguard class is ten.
