What's been happening - March 2020

I think it's fair to say we all know what's been happening this month! It's a strange time with a lot of unknowns. On the plus side I've had some time to do some online CPDs so loads of new ideas to try with the swimmers. Some of which can potentially be adapted for on land, so will be looking into that so swimmers can still develop their skills. Also took part in my first webinar. I had the easy part of just listening though. Made myself take notes so I wouldn't get distracted, felt like I was back at uni! I'm continuously checking the government website regarding the virus and how to keep the business running and support staff as much as possible so we are able to restart lessons when it's safe. As you can imagine it can all be a bit confusing!

When we do return to lessons, our Queensferry High School lessons will be in the brand new building, right next to the previous building.

We have a couple of vacancies currently available for when we restart lessons:

Swimming Instructor x 2 - St Leonards School, St Andrews

Saturday morning 9am to 12pm.

For more information and to apply for the positions see

We are planning on starting a mentoring program for those not yet qualified to teach swimming but are interested in experiencing what's involved. More information to follow, Obviously our plans have been put on hold at the moment but will be looking to start the program when we restart lessons.

Stay safe!
