EAT. SLEEP. TEACH SWIMMING

Return to lessons - St Leonards School

We are pleased to announce that we can finally restart lessons again from the 1st May. Currently the lessons will be running weekly but due to staff shortages will be running fortnightly in June. We are hoping to have these shortages resolved by June so we can continue running weekly. The measures that were in place before Christmas will still apply. These measures will be reviewed regularly and updated as needed.

  • No parents are allowed to remain on poolside or in the changing rooms during lessons.

  • There is a limit of one adult per swimmer and, where possible, no siblings that are not attending lessons in the building.

  • Changing rooms will be allocated, please only use the changing room you have been allocated. There will be a member of staff at the entrance to direct you to the correct changing room.

  • Parents are required to wear a mask in the changing rooms and when dropping off on poolside.

  • Teachers are only to teach in the pool where necessary (i.e. to assist a swimmer with a disability).

  • Where possible, swimmers are encouraged to arrive pool ready and shower at home.

  • Swimmers are to arrive as close to their class start time as possible to minimise time spent in the changing rooms.

It's been a long road but hopefully things will have a bit more normality soon.
