We are pleased to announce that we will be restarting our lessons at St Leonards School on the 19th September. Due to the number of swimmers that attend the lessons we will be splitting the classes over 2 weeks. We have also introduced a number of safety measures (see below) to do as much as we can to make the lessons as safe as possible. These measures will be reviewed regularly and updated as needed.
No parents are allowed to remain on poolside or in the changing rooms during lessons.
There is a limit of one adult per swimmer and, where possible, no siblings that are not attending lessons in the building.
There is a one way system in place, entering through the male changing room and exiting through the female changing room.
Parents are required to wear a mask in the changing rooms and when dropping off on poolside.
The COVID-19 Health Questionnaire must be completed before being allowed to attend lessons.
Teachers are only to teach in the pool where necessary (i.e. to assist a swimmer with a disability).
Where possible, swimmers are encouraged to arrive pool ready and shower at home.
Swimmers are to arrive as close to their class start time as possible to minimise time spent in the changing rooms.
I think it's safe to say we'll be extremely glad to get back to teaching. It's been a long road but hopefully this is a sign that we can get fully back up and running soon. The COVID-19 Health Questionnaire can be found below.
