Adult Beginner

Learning anything from scratch is daunting, so we try to keep our Adult Beginner class as relaxed as possible. Swimmers will learn the basics for front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke, and start swimming short distances, slowly increasing the distance. The teacher is in the water to give swimmers that extra bit of support. Once swimmers are able to comfortably swim 100 metres they can join the Adult Improver level.​

Adult Swim Fit

Adults that are able to swim 400 metres comfortably can join our Adult Swim Fit class. Swimming has many health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart disease, building lung power and boosting mental health. An hour of swimming can burn around 500 calories, and good technique can make it much easier. Swimmers will work on technique and stamina to improve their overall fitness. The teacher is out of the water to give some helpful tips in order to get the most out of swimming.

Adult Improver

Adults that are able to swim 100 metres comfortably can join our Adult Improver class. Swimmers will build on techniques for front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke, along with improving stamina. The teacher is out of the water to get a better view of how to improve swimmers’ technique and get the most out of the class. Once swimmers are able to comfortably swim 400 metres they can join the Adult Swim Fit level.
